painting is a form of magik.
it is something that takes more than a lifetime of devotion to master.  the directions are endless and can seem overwhelming.
     

i try to stay in my own zone.  i learn through trial and error, experimentation and observation.  painting to me is just as much sitting and looking as it is applying paint to a canvas or panel.

everything i am working on now comes from imagination although they are reflections of friends, children, faces of strangers from everyday city existence. imagination takes from reality and vice versa.
 
i enjoy the challenge of putting life into an image. i want it to look back with some intensity as if asking a question directly to the soul. i look for that which is soothing, welcoming and hopefully promising.
